My kids played with those. I attempted. But, I was no match for youth and dexterity. Still fun. Truly, you guys need to think about Ed doing more of these beyond the stated twelve. And, you might try a dialogue style. Kind of a, "I think this about fiction characters" and " Well, yes but. Or, I agree and we could add this." A couple of paragraphs each and your done for a blog entry. This would work for you because neither of you waist words. You communicate out of distilled thought, which is very enjoyable to read.
